UK Stand Up
There has always been a belief that UK music would not break through and catch certain audience’s eye. As Nicki Minaj would say “PAUSE”. I think not. The United Kingdoms home grown Tinie Tempah has come through this week by grabbing up two BRIT awards. The awards he easily snatched up, were for, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best Single. These two awards were based on the same track “ Pass Out ”.
We all know Tinie from his first major release – first shown on UK’s Channel U “Wifey Riddim” (2006), we all talked about the video and how such a misunderstood concept ended up in such a tragedy. Now look a Tinie, His Birth name being Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, Jr. He’s Older, Sexier and is doing this for UK music as he stated in his speech at the BRIT Awards. Not a lot of the UK musicians are still going ahead and living the dream. At the time of Patrick’s boosting career, a lot of ‘hubbys’ were making a ‘wifey riddim’, (hell I even got one), but only his sparked the interest of many young female hearts and look where he is now.
In February 2010, Tinie released ‘Pass Out’ which hit number 1 in the UK single charts. His second single entitled ‘’ then released in June 2010 hit the UK singles charts at number 2.His Parents must be so proud of him.
Do not worry Patrick, us at Good Girl PR and the whole of the UK know your going to keep going and make us proud.
