Is There A Trend of Getting Married Young??? (NBA Edition)
I want to know if I’m the only one who noticed that there is a marriage trend going on in the NBA. What stood out to me the most is the men seem to be the younger than their wives who are in their 30′s. Lets break it down…
Miami Heat player Chris Both, 27 years old, recently wed his fiancee Adrienne Williams in an $300,000 extravagant royal wedding. Congrats to them! They quietly exchanged vows in April. I couldn’t find any background on Adrienne so maybe they are around the same age. I’ll find out more maybe when they’re together longer. I had to point in them because this was a very recent wedding.

Another very recent wedding is LA Laker Shannon Brown and his new bride and R&B sensation Monica. Shannon is a young 25 years old and Monica is a mature 30 years old. They weren’t dating for very long before Monica moved in with him got engaged then wed in Nov. 22, 2010 and just had a huge ceremony on July 9th. Rushing much???

Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson wed Keyshia Cole back in May in Las Vegas. He is 25 years old and she is 29. They dated for about a year in 2009, had a their son in March 2010, the same year they got engaged. They dated for about two years. Is that enough time to really get to know someone? Hmmmm…

Already one year into their marriage and I still love seeing the love that LaLa and Carmelo have. They have been together for years and they look happier then ever since moving to NYC. Carmelo is 27 years old and LaLa is 32 years old. LaLa will display the ups and downs of being a basketball wife in her new show “LaLa’s Full Court Life” on VH-1 airing on August, 22 at 9pm. Now with this union I know everyone is skeptical about these two “lovebirds.” Kris Humphries is 26 and Kim Kardashian is 30. They came out of no where dating, then an engagement, now they’re planning a wedding? Can anyone keep up with Kim?! We can see some of their relationship in Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E! It looks like cakes and candy in front of the camera but who really knows. They’re in love. *side eye* Kourtney had a baby, Khloe got married, and now Kim is getting married. Looks like there’s a another trend going on… Ohhh well…
What do you think is going on? It’s almost back to back weddings! Something is happening in the NBA that we don’t know about. I guess you have to find your ride or die chick early! Hmmmmm…
