Nivea Drops Rihanna, Who Should Pick Her Up?

In the span of 24 hours, Rihanna has managed to get dropped from one endorsement deal and pick up another. Who else could possibly pull that off?

Stefan Heidenreich, the head of Nivea‘s parent company, has announced the split between Nivea and Rihanna. In an recent interview he explained his confusion as to why the two even initially collaborated, “Rihanna is a no go. I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability.” He felt that her bad girl image was too much for their brand.

While Nivea was busy dropping Rihanna, her home country, Barbados, was busy picking her up.  The Jamaican Observer reports, “Barbadian pop singer Rihanna has signed a three-year contract with the Barbados Tourist Authority (BTA) to promote the island.” She will be the face of a promotional campaign that will kick off next month just in time for their busiest tourism season.

Although Rihanna is not struggling to land endorsement deals, here are five companies that we would love for her to endorse.

(1.) Apple. Clearly, Rihanna is huge fan of Twitter and Instagram. She is always spotted with her iPhone in hand along with a snazzy cool case. She would be perfect selling more of Apple’s popular cell phone.

(2.) Clairol. Rihanna changes her hair color like she changes her underwear. She’s been black, blonde, red, brown and more. Fans would love to have the same hair color as their favorite singer.

(3.) Converse. Not only does Rihanna sport classic Chuck Taylors on a regular basis, the brand is edgy enough work with her bad girl image. Their shoes are versatile like her style so they would be a perfect match.

(4.) OPI.  Even the smallest details about Rihanna’s appearance is noticed such as her fingernails. She played a part in making the stiletto, claw nail trend big. Why not take it a step further and give her an exclusive nail polish line? Similar to the OPI line with Nicki Minaj, the colors could be named after her hit songs.

(5.) Trapstar. This brand is her go-to brand with it comes to copping snapbacks. The affordable caps would surely sell out due to the Rihanna Navy. This underground label also plays up her bad girl image.
